Stonepath Montessori
Pre-School Program
“Since starting Montessori School at Stone Path, our son has become more confident, patient and adaptable. Prior to attending Stone Path, our outgoing 4-year-old, had a hard time “finding his place” in a group of other kids. He wasn’t quite sure what to do, or how to ‘jump in’ to a game or talk. After one year of Montessori, I see him so much more relaxed, confident and thoughtful.
He feels safe and confident. Through Montessori, my son has become more con cognizant of others and their personal space, feelings and what it means to be respectful. He now asks, all the time, “May I introduce myself?”, whenever he sees other kids, no matter the setting. Thank you!”

“As a mother and pediatrician, I was looking for a place that was not only safe and educational for my daughters, but one that would foster growth, curiosity, and friendship. That’s why we fell in love with Stonepath Montessori where they have thrived and benefited more than any other setting could offer.
The self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play are just what any child this age needs to reach their full potential. They have also created close and meaningful friendships with their classmates and teachers, which is important to us given that our families live far away. SPM has transformed our lives and made us not only feel at peace that loving and dedicated teachers are watching over them, but that these moments at school are benefiting them enormously.”

“SPM home environment is staffed with caring and attentive instructors who provide flexibility and a creative process that is supportive of child development. Nicholas has developed substantially since joining SPM at 18-months-old. At 4-years-old now, he is writing and reading and excited about it. Social development and responsibility have been promoted and is evident at home. SPM provides a solid balance of a friendly home environment with adequate structure necessary for continued learning.”

“The minute we walked into Stone Path Montessori, I knew it was a special place. Ms. Kate has a way of breaking down the world into kid-size pieces of information (maybe parent-sized too) that become building blocks for life. Her patience and belief in each child are so pure and true that it made me want to be a better parent. My two boys got to attend together, ages 2 and 4 at the time. The oldest was in Kindergarten this year and he has excelled at math and his reading is right on track! He adds two and three-digit numbers! He was well prepared, and then some.
He said he wanted to learn to count to 100 in Ms. Kate’s class and he got there within a couple months. He didn’t like drawing or writing but she helped him to tell his own story. My two-year-old learned how to potty, take care of his self, get along with older and younger kids and be confident as well. Our only wish was that we could have stayed in Alaska longer, so our other children could benefit from her teachings.”

“My son has been attending Stone Path for just a few months, but he is absolutely loving it. He (and me mostly) had some separation anxiety, since he was watched at home for the first 2 years of his life. But his teachers were so amazing in the transition and it helps knowing he’s in such a great environment. My son always comes home happy and is eager to get ready for school the next day. I highly recommend Stone Path and I’m so happy to have finally found a place that I can trust with my baby.”

“I had 2 kids enrolled at Stone Path Montessori. They loved the staff, and came out more self-aware, independent, self-reliant and were academically more than ready to tackle Kindergarten.”
“Our toddler is on her 2nd year at Stone Path, and we intend to keep her there until Kindergarten. We also hope to enroll our son (now an infant) in the preschool program one day! We love Stone Path. Kate and all the teachers are such a blessing to our daughter and to ME! The school has become an extension of our family. Our 3-year-old comes home every day with new skills (“hey mom, that color is named ‘magenta!'”) and she is already starting to write her name! Oh, and did I mention that they helped us successfully potty train her? MAJOR WIN!”

“I used to work at Stone Path Montessori and Kate is so great with the kids! She taught me a lot about how to treat and take care of all these cute, sweet littles. It’s a healthy, happy environment to work in and for the kids to learn in as well.”

“SPM provides an environment conducive to growth and development. Students can explore their interests while learning how to interact with their peers in a constructive way. Not only are concrete social skills developed, abstract concepts of writing and math are taught in a way that is interesting to the child. Not to mention, the Stone Path parent community is amazing!”
